Grab a paddle and jump aboard a 6-seat traditional Hawaiian outrigger hoe wa’a (canoe) to experience the thrill and history of Polynesian voyaging and learn about Kealaikahiki channel referred to as the Polynesian highway between Honua`ula (modern day Wailea, Maui), Tahiti and the rest of Polynesia using celestial navigation.
Turtles, whales, and an occasional Hawaiian Monk Seal can be seen closer from the canoe. Canoe rides leave Wailea Beach fronting Grand Wailea daily and include 30 – 90-minute excursions. Costs apply.

Departing daily from Wailea Beach fronting the resort, Aqualani’s guided Kayak eco-adventure takes you on a mile-long journey along the South Maui coast past the pristine coastline. Accompanied by professional and experienced guides, your adventure also includes secluded snorkeling through clear waters filled with beautiful coral reefs and an abundance of marine life. Those that are on Maui from December to April may also see humpback whales. The adventure lasts approximately 2 hours.

Join Aqualani guides for a guided stand-up paddle tour along the Wailea coastline. Each participant will receive basic paddleboard instructions before the trip begins, insuring a wonderful experience for all. Guests that wish to snorkel will have the opportunity during the two-hour trip.
