Grand Wailea features the best pools and water activities on Maui. Our Wailea Canyon Activity Pool is for the kid in everyone, with waterslides, rapids, a rope swing and much more. Our elegant Hibiscus Pool, reserved for adults, is a romantic retreat for sun and relaxation.

Wailea Canyon Activity Pool
Spend the day in this epic 2,000-foot-long, 25,700 sq. ft., 770,000-gallon pool area that consists of nine individual pools on six different levels, connected by a river that carries swimmers along whitewater rapids and gentle currents.
Wailea Canyon includes four jungle pools, five intertwining slides, a whitewater rapids slide, a Tarzan pool with rope swing, a sand beach, six waterfalls, caves, three Jacuzzis, the world’s first water elevator, and a swim-up bar.

The 4,850 sq. ft. Hibiscus Pool is named for the giant Hibiscus flower inlaid on the bottom of the pool made from over 630,000 pieces of Mexican glass mosaic tile. The entire pool contains over 2.2 million individual tiles and features two Jacuzzis. This pool is reserved for guests 18 and older.
Pick up your towels and wristbands daily at the Activity or Hibiscus Pool Desk. All pool areas are for registered guests only; due to limited availability, Grand Wailea does not sell day passes or cabanas to non-registered guests.
Guests must meet the minimum height requirement of over 48″ to ride the Ana Puka and Lava Tube slides.
Complimentary lounge chairs on all pool decks and the formal lawn will be on a first come first serve basis. Seating is limited as we provide social distancing to ensure we comply with CDC safety guidelines.
Beach umbrellas and beach lounges are for registered guests only and are on a first-come-first-served basis. One person must be present for every 2 chairs per room to obtain these items on the beach and may do so at the Beach Cart. Wristbands are not mandatory for beach chairs. As a directive from our State Department of Land & Natural Resources, we are not permitted to pre-set chairs on the beach, nor leave them unattended.
Pools and decks are reserved for registered guests only. All guests need to be registered at time of check-in, no additions or name changes will be permitted after check-in. One wristband per person is given for the length of your stay. Should you remove your wristband, the original must be returned in order to receive a replacement.
Guests leaving belongings longer than 1 hour will have items removed to a secured cabinet.
Up to 4 lounge chairs on the pool deck and formal lawn can be used.

Cabanas may be reserved up to one year in advance at the time of booking of your room reservation.

Grand Wailea has the only resort-designated SCUBA training pool in Hawaii. DIVE Wailea, Grand Wailea’s third party SCUBA provider, offers complimentary pool lessons to first-time divers, 12 years or older. Their professional instructors can also escort you on one of four ocean dives tailored to novice or certified divers.

Departing daily from Wailea Beach fronting the resort, Aqualani’s guided Kayak eco-adventure takes you on a mile-long journey along the South Maui coast past the pristine coastline. Accompanied by professional and experienced guides, your adventure also includes secluded snorkeling through clear waters filled with beautiful coral reefs and an abundance of marine life. Those that are on Maui from December to April may also see humpback whales. The adventure lasts approximately 2 hours.
